Reasons to Call

The most common types are migraines and muscle tension headaches. With medicine, physical therapy, and/or lifestyle guidance our patients often find sustained relief.

Neck & Back Pain

Most often caused by an injury, arthritis, muscle spasms or pinched nerves, we start with a detailed conversation. Based on the site and description of the pain, we offer careful, comprehensive treatment through physical therapy and/or medication.

Pain, Tingling, Numbness, & Weakness

Symptoms like these could be signs of impaired nerve functioning caused by neuropathy, radiculopathy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, or other neurologic disorders. Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) may help to identify the problem and guide the treatment.

Trouble with Memory

Causes can include Alzheimer’s disease, other forms of dementia, or even depression. After a thorough discussion, we may recommend a specific cognitive evaluation to help ensure a proper diagnosis and develop a unique care plan.

Shaking / Tremors

Typically, a careful physical examination can establish the underlying neurologic causes. Common diagnoses include Parkinson’s Disease and Essential Tremor.  Appropriately selected medications, monitored through periodic visits, are usually the most effective treatments for our patients.

Dizziness / Loss of Balance

These symptoms often arise from the inner ear or from within the brain itself. Discussing patient history and performing a physical examination are our key instruments in identifying the cause. In some cases an MRI picture of the brain is required. Physical therapy is often used to support any specific treatment plan.

There are many types and causes of seizures. We use a variety of specialized tools to help accurately diagnose and treat them. These include:

  • MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)
  • rEEG (routine electroencephalogram)
  • aEEG (ambulatory electroencephalography)

Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, & Independent Medical Evaluations

Patients who have sustained traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or damage to peripheral nerves are encouraged to contact our office for consultation.
